Private Group Tour of Successful Women Artists and Innovators in the Permanent Collection at the National Gallery of Art

* Would you like to see some brilliant works by successful women artists?

* Ever wondered what inventions energized the Impressionists?

* What's your perspective? And what is perspective anyway?

What: A private, family-friendly tour (60-90 minutes based on age of winners) at the National Gallery of Art.

When: Anytime in 2020 at a mutually agreed upon time.

Where: National Gallery of Art, Constitution Ave NW, Washington, DC 20565

Group: Flexible on size and age of group and number of chaperones (at least one per 10 girls please). Happy to arrange for any special accommodations (e.g. accessibility, etc.)

Possible Theme and Tour Structure: Drawing on the NGA's permanent collection, focus on art and artists through the lens of science, math, technical developments in art production, etc. Tour is inquiry-based rather than lecture-based. The tour will consist of four to five pre-set stops where girls will be encouraged to look carefully and discuss works of art. The docent may choose to focus on one work of art or a few artworks at each stop.

With Whom: WIT member and corporate governance specialist Ann Marie Plubell is also a volunteer school education docent at the National Gallery of Art and will be your lead docent for this tour.
