Certificate is good for:

Tuition for one child (1st through 3rd grade) in the Capitol City Robotics program. Classes run for approximately four months, from Jan 12, 2020 to April 19, 2020 (tentative dates) and meets most Sunday from 2pm to 3:15pm. The program culminates in a FIRST Robotics expo here in the District.

About Capitol City Robotics:

Capitol City Robotics is a nonprofit organization that seeks to creating a future where science and robotics careers are a place for everyone, regardless of gender, race, or economic background. A place to make, create, and invent a future for us all, together. "CCR" instructs students on the fundamentals of robotics and computer science and prepares students for the FIRST LEGO Jr expo.

Guided by adult coaches and FIRST Core Values, students build models using LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 and create Show Me posters to present what they learned. The program focuses on building interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through a real-world challenge - to be solved by research, critical thinking, and imagination.
