Pictures do not do this photo justice! Old farm photo from the North Carolina mountains. Frame measures 12x14.

Photographer Nancy O. Albert catches the beautiful essence of the late 1800's in this Cave family barn photo from the Yadkin Valley. Noted from the photographer, Nancy O. Albert, " Barns and farm buildings have long held my interest. The economy of North Carolina was one closely linked to tobacco production and a large number of tobacco barns remain. Tobacco farming in NC predates the Civil War and began in counties along the Virginia border. Farmers often constructed their own barns, which resulted in idiosyncratic structures right from the start. Albert also says, " On my first visit in 2006, there was a fine row of 6-7 barns, and in 2015 only one lone structure and several pile of debris remained."
