Spend a day with New York Times investigative reporter and best selling author, Joe Drape P '23. One lucky student (at the Prep or currently in college) will go inside The New York Times beginning with the morning news meeting where the paper's top editors from NY, Washington, London and Hong Kong will discuss and decide the coverage priorities for the day. The student will meet and talk with editors from a variety of departments, including graphics, video and audience development as well as news and sports. He will have lunch with a group of sports reporters who can offer career advice. A signed copy of one of Joe's books is included. Hosted by Fordham Prep parent, Joe Drape, a New York Times veteran reporter for 22 years and author of six books, including the best sellers American Pharoah; The Untold Story of the Triple Crown Champion's Legendary Rise and Our Boys: A Perfect Season on the Plains with the Smith Center Redmen. His new book, The Saint Makers: Inside the Catholic Church and How a War Hero Inspired a Journey of Faith will be out in 2021. To be scheduled on a day of mutual convenience. Expires February 28, 2021.
