Join Prep alumnus Dr. Matthew Santirocco'67 who will host a lunch for four (Prep parents and/or students) at NYU's Torch Club to discuss the college admissions process. Drawing on his 25 years' experience as a college dean and university administrator, Matthew will answer questions and provide customized advice on how students can identify and get into colleges that are the best "fit" for them. The discussion will focus on the factors (academic and non-academic) that should be considered when selecting a college, as well as the criteria colleges use to select their students. Guidance will also be provided on how to make the strongest possible application and how, once admitted, to succeed in college. Dr. Matthew Santirocco has been College Dean at the University of Pennsylvania and then at NYU, where he also served, until two years ago, as Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs. Educated at Columbia and Cambridge, he has also taught at Pittsburgh, Columbia, Emory, and Brown. Currently a professor of Classics at NYU, he directs NYU's Center for Ancient Studies and is also the faculty director of NYU's Center in Washington DC. His contributions to higher education were recognized by his election as a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.
