Here is your opportunity to taste some homemade traditional Venezuelan delicacies. The winner of this basket will receive 3 traditional Latin specialties, homemade by our our Spanish teacher, Mrs. Robmary Fuentes! On a mutually agreed upon date, Mrs. Fuentes will make you and your family Arapes, Quesillo, and Coquito.

The arapes Mrs. Fuentes makes uses the traditional Venezuelan recipe. Arepas are to Venezuelans, what tacos are for Mexicans, or sandwich bread is for Americans. Due to their neutral flavor, arepas are the perfect vehicle for all kinds of stuffings. Think of arepas as a pocket. That pocket can be stuffed with all kinds of fillings. One of the most popular arepa fillings is a chicken and cheese or ham and cheese. But, you really could fill it with almost everything.

Quesillo is a Venezuelan dessert also called Caramel Flan (even though it's not the same). It's made with just 4 ingredients (5 if you count the vanilla) and it tastes so addictively good!

Coquito is a coconut tasting beverage originating from Puerto Rico. Coquito is very similar to eggnog and it is packed with tons of flavor, sweet coconut, and body warming rum-y goodness. (Contains alcohols).
