Rapino Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
Artisanal Montepulciano d'Abruzzo made from hand-harvested and hand-selected grapes and aged in traditional concrete vats for 2 years. Aromatic, Fruit-Forward, full body, spices, tobacco, cigar leaf. Production Area: Hilly terrain at 100 meters above sea level, in the district of Francavilla al Mare. Very dry terrain with full sun exposure all day. Farming Method: Espalier with pruning. 4,300 plants per hectare. Harvest: Hand-Harvesting and hand-selecting grapes in the first week of October. 100 quintals per hectare for quality yields. Fermentation: selected natural yeasts with a long maceration. Aging of at least 6 months in concrete vats followed by 2 months in bottle before release. Current Production Level: 6,000 bottles annually.
Rapino Trebbiano d'Abruzzo
Trebbiano is one of the most prolific white grapes in all of Italy. Typically found in white wine blends, the wineries in Abruzzo favor single varietal versions so you can taste the essence of Trebbiano. The Rapino Trebbiano is an artisanal handcrafted from 100% hand-harvested and hand-selected Trebbiano grapes and aged in steel for 6 months. Aromatic, Fruit-Forward, buttery smooth, medium bodied, Production Area: Hilly terrain at 100 meters above sea level, in the district of Francavilla al Mare. Current Production Level: 6,000 bottles annually. Adriatic Sea and Floral Fragrances, juicy citrus and melon, and soft crisp finish. Pairs easily with chicken, seafood, and pasta dishes.
