Our Rising Tide 2020 is now VIRTUAL!
Friday, November 13th
6-6:30pm Cocktail Hour, Event 6:30-7:30pm
To keep our OneAmerica family and the broader community safe, we have rescheduled the Annual Celebration to Friday, November 13th, and the event will be virtual.
Tickets are now free, but registration is required. If you already purchased a ticket, your ticket can be converted into a donation for Our Rising Tide 2020. If you would like a refund, please contact us at [email protected].
For almost two decades, we have worked to ensure that immigrants and refugees have a seat at the table - or a microphone at a rally in the street - to help shape the policies that impact our communities. And on Friday, November 13th, our communities will take the virtual stage to describe the power and triumph of their struggle.
It is our time. Our Rising Tide has come as a powerful upswelling of action based on justice and love rising to counter intolerance and hate. Join us as people like us - immigrants, refugees, and allies - rise to leadership on a rushing wave of resistance, coursing towards a new direction.
Celebration Speakers:
Lorella Praeli is a freedom fighter, movement builder, and adaptive athlete who is currently the President of Community Change Action and Vice President of Community Change.
Lorella, like us, is passionate about building collective power to win transformative policy change at all levels of government so that people can thrive. Most recently she was the ACLU's National Political Director where she fought to defend and expand the rights of immigrants and refugees.
Lorella is a perfect example of Our Rising Tide.
