3-4 Collage Throw Pillows!

This set of pillows features artwork by all students in Class 3-4. These linen pillows measure 20" square.

Student on the 3rd floor learned about artist Wassily Kandinsky and looked at his painting "Several Circles" for inspiration. Next, each class created their own collage paper by mixing either different warm or cool colors and painting several different pieces of paper. I cut out many different sizes of circles from the paper students created. Then students arranged the circles on their square and glued then on. Last, I interview each student and we talked about their favorite colors, favorite part of their work and the project and let them describe their work.

Special thanks to Ms. Casas for facilitating this art project with the students, and to Judy Frangie-Camareno for profiding the beautiful illustration found on the back of each pillow with the student names.
