A table with a deep-rooted history and character that's hard to find.

The rings on this beautiful handmade table tell only part of its story. The table top and base are made from rare black walnut. The table trunk comes from a hardwood oak tree that is about 45 years old and was partially rooted in a lake in West Michigan.

One of the many striking elements in the trunk is a crevice created by heavy wire that was likely used to anchor fencing early in the life of the tree. The tree grew around the wire, which eventually became embedded in the trunk. The hollow portion contains rare and valuable burls that create unique characteristics that have never been seen in any other wood.

And there is more story that's not visible to the eye: This one-of-a-kind heirloom required 800 hours of finishing

and assembly and uses no metal fasteners.

The table top is 90" x 39" and the overall height is 30".
