A breast cancer diagnosis begins a life-changing journey that often results in physical and emotional side effects that impact quality of life. While many nonprofits focus on the critical nature and importance of awareness, prevention and raising money to find a cure for breast cancer, TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation represents something very different and positive in the battle against breast cancer.
Imagine not being able to turn a doorknob; hold your child; reach towards the kitchen shelf or open the car door. Oftentimes, breast cancer patients and survivors experience decreased range of shoulder motion, weakness, pain, fatigue and lymphedema (swelling of the arm). Many patients also experience distress, anger or fear. Specialized rehabilitation is vital in reducing or even preventing many of the issues that accompany breast cancer yet, in reality, most breast cancer patients do not receive this care.
TurningPoint specializes in treating the whole patient. Services include individualized physical and massage therapy, nutritional counseling, lymphedema screening and management, emotional support, tailored fitness classes, community and healthcare provider education, complimentary and reduced-fee services as well as a financial assistance program to those who qualify.
Our Mission

Our mission is to improve the quality of life of breast cancer patients and survivors by providing, promoting and advocating specialized and evidence-based rehabilitation.
