It is with a heavy heart that we announce the decision to cancel the 17th annual Paint the Town Red Gala. We intend to recognize our outstanding honorees Patricia Mulroy and Sally Rycroft in the spring of 2021, along with a special honoree for our 75th anniversary celebration.
The Paint the Town Red Gala is a jubilant part of our league year - a time to come together and celebrate a year of service to the Las Vegas community, the extraordinary work The Junior League of Las Vegas has done, and the immeasurable contributions of our honorees. It is our largest fundraiser and funds our community projects and work with Shannon West Homeless Center, Three Square, and other non-profit partners.
However, we value the health and wellness of our guests and members above all else, and while we are disappointed not to celebrate with you this year, we know that the 2021 event will be that much better when we can come together in a safe and joyous manner. We are so grateful for all of our sponsors, members, and ticket holders that have continued to support us. In light of the current circumstances, we ask that you donate the cost of your ticket to The Junior League of Las Vegas to continue to help our community projects in need. Junior League of Las Vegas (JLLV) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
The Junior League of Las Vegas will host its 17th annual fundraising gala at the Four Season Las Vegas on Saturday, March 21, 2020. This year, we will honor Sally Rycroft as the recipient of the Lifetime Community Achievement Award and Patricia Mulroy as the recipient of the Florence Lee Jones Humanitarian Award. We are thrilled to recognize the outstanding contributions each honoree has made to our community.
