Elevate yourself from tourist to local with this unique culinary tour of Tuscany! For six days, you and your guest will be immersed in an all-inclusive Tuscan experience in the medieval, 13th century, walled village of Montefollonico in Italy.
After flying from Washington, DC, your week will include daily cooking lessons, excursions, winery tours, cheese making lessons, gourmet dinners, and tours of historic sites. Experience Tuscany and learn the basics of Tuscan cooking with daily cooking lessons from local Tuscan women with first-class accommodations in a beautiful hilltop village hotel.
The small-group classes immerse you in the local culture where you will enjoy a culinary experience like no other - and, never fear, these classes fit all levels of cooks. A typical day during your Cook in Tuscany Tour could include; Starting in La Costa, making eggplant parmesan, stuffed chicken breast (but learn how to debone a chicken first, of course), Pici pasta (a specialty of the region), and cantucci biscotti -- fantastico straight from the oven! Desert is a delicious panna cotta, so amazing, but also so simple to make. After this lunch feast, you will be transported to Canetti Winery to bask in the beautiful views and taste wine. From there, visit the town of Montepulciano where you will tour an underground city dating back to Etruscan times and visit the stunning San Biagio church from 1518. As your day comes to a close, head to the family-owned Andreucci Winery where you will be spoiled with seven courses and seven delicious wines to complement them. Dine alfresco and take in the Tuscan evening breeze while enjoying your wine selections, expertly paired with each course.
Every day is a new experience with this amazing vacation - absolutely the trip of a lifetime!
