Local author and Illustrator, Rick Chrustowski, was the visiting author at Cornelia this fall during the Readathon! He visited with each grade level and made some wonderful drawings. These fun and vibrant drawings are based on characters from his books. Buy one or all five and let these one-of-a-kind pieces of art brighten up your home! Great for kids' rooms, playrooms, and modern living spaces! (Framed and ready to hang.)

A little bit about Rick:
"My love for animals shines through all of my artwork. When I am outside I am always on the look out for anything that moves. What was that bug that zippped by? Which bird did I just hear sing? Where is that rabbit hopping to? These are all questions that run through my thoughts.

Then I go looking for answers. I read everything I can including books, magazines, websites. I like to find an expert who can answer my questions, too. I often learn many things that surprise me.
For 20 years I lived on a farm in Wisconsin. I grew my own food, and had a huge garden. I raised chickens and had horses, dogs, and cats. I loved watching the seasons come and go from my old farmhouse. Now I live in an old house in the city of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and I love learning about animals that live here. It is a whole new adventure! I live just blocks away from the Mississippi river where I like to hike and kayak.
Most of my books have been nonfiction based on facts I have learned. I also love telling stories, so I am working on ideas for fiction books based on character.
Making books is such a blast! I hope to keep making them until the day I die. (Hopefully that won't be for a hundred years!)"
