Artist Bio: Liz Labunski is an emerging abstract artist, living and working in Charlotte, North Carolina. Originally from the New York area, Liz graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology, accepted into the Fashion Illustration program, but for practical purposes, switched her major to and graduated with a degree in Advertising Design.

After a successful career as an art director and graphic designer, Liz's focus has returned to fine art. 'I began my design career when commercial art was still done completely by hand; I never originally intended to spend so much time designing on a computer.' Longing to go back to a more tactile relationship with her creativity, Liz returned to her passion, painting and drawing.

Still working full time as a senior designer in a corporate environment, Liz's goal is to become more than just a 'Sunday painter' and to one day open a community working studio space for herself and other artists. ;My dream is to create a combined studio and class space to attract both local and national artists to come and commune, teach, learn, and make art with other like-minded creatives.'
