Artist: Emily Tayman

My name is Emily Tayman. I am a freelance artist of 10 years. I was always artistic as a young child, but when I turned 17 I began looking to art as a primary form of expression in my life. I would practice daily, teaching myself different techniques. Drawing multiple eyeballs to get my technique just how I wanted it to be. Its been 10 years now that I have been painting, and around 6 that I have been selling my art and having it be a business. Art is a meditative practice for me. To keep me in tune with my soul. The feeling of selling my work and being able to share it with the world is one that fulfills my being. That is why I know that I am on the right path, having chosen to dedicate my life to my painting practice. I have sold and donated many paintings across the country as well as painted live at music festivals including Joshua Tree Music Festival, Big Surreal, and Arise Music Festival. across the country, and will continue to do so forever and always. Many artists find their niche when they become settled into their practice. I hope to never find a niche but to continue my practice always evolving like the chapters of a novel which in the end, all together, tell a beautiful story that portrays my life, through paint.
