Enjoy an amazing Chicago Symphony Orchestra concert from the best box in the house!
Two (2) seats in Box M (very center) to the December 19 concert of Stravinsky and Dvorak 8 with Leila Josefowicz on violin, with Edo de Waart conducting.
Dvorak's Eighth Symphony is a lyrical masterpiece that The Guardian calls "35 minutes of life-enhancing joy." Edo de Waart conducts this profound work, along with John Adams' exuberant "foxtrot for orchestra," an outtake from his opera Nixon in China. The phenomenally gifted Leila Josefowicz returns to perform Stravinsky's brilliant neoclassical Violin Concerto.
The concert is at 8 p.m., with a pre-concert lecture at 6:45 pm led by Maestro de Waart.
