Hall of Fame football head coach Bill Mallory spent four
seasons at NIU leading the Huskie program from 1980-83,
compiling a 25-19 record in DeKalb. Prior to his arrival, NIU
had experienced just two winning seasons as a major college
program.

To honor Coach Mallory's many contributions to college
football and his positive influence on the Huskie Football
program, NIU Athletics has established the Bill Mallory
Legacy Scholarship.

This scholarship is awarded annually to a
football student-athlete who demonstrates dedication to the
Huskie football team through selflessness, positive attitude and

commitment to his team and community service.
