Kalifornia Jean Bar first opened its doors in 2005 in Midtown Reno, NV. Being the only place in Reno to carry such a variety highly sought after brands, it quickly became one of the city's most popular clothing stores. In 2010, owners Christy and Mike relocated the business to historic downtown Truckee. From then on, the business expanded even more. KJB now has six locations, including the village at Squaw Valley Ski Resort, on the lake in Tahoe City, The Basement in Downtown Reno, NV, and our newest location Paia, HI! In an age where shopping malls over-saturate the industry with low-quality, mass-produced items, we pride ourselves on remaining one of the few places in the area carrying premium high-end clothing for both men and women. With a majority of our brands being American made, it is apparent how much care goes into not only making each item, but also the selection of what we decide to put on the shelves. With each store having unique character, we carefully make sure each and every item is well-aligned with our beautiful geographical surroundings and the cultures that embody them.
