Bill Kremer, Stoneware Platter, Stoneware, 13"x13"x2"

Bill Kremer is a ceramic artist and educator who teaches ceramics at the University of Notre Dame. His work represents both ceramic sculpture and traditional pottery. He is known for his work and innovations using large-scale molds as a means to construct sculptural vessel forms. The resulting forms are salt fired in a thirty-foot anagama wood fired kiln. Kremer's work has been exhibited around the country and has been represented by numerous commercial galleries. His work has been shown in more than 150 exhibitions and he has conducted more than thirty workshops and lectures. The South Bend Museum of Art is happy to have two of Kremer's works in our permanent collection.
