Artist statement about Waning Western Summer Day:
This closed form continues the Montana exploration of range, mountains, and gulches. It is a part of a larger examination of Earth, as our Mother, nurturing, and fecund, even in the most (apparently) barren of landscapes. The breast, the egg, our world; there is an expectation that something will happen. Let the viewer enter this world, and their imagination supply the narrative.
