You and five friends will learn how to make three distinct types of cheese: ricotta, a hard-pressed alpine cheese and a middle eastern cheese called haloumi in this 6-hour workshop. Sample a variety of commercial cheeses, discuss the history of cheese, and learn the science behind the cheese-making process.

SCLT's Sebastian Interlandi has been making cheese commercially for the past seven years at Creative Shepherd Farm, but has been experimenting with fermented milk for more than a decade.

Sebastian will offer the class in your kitchen. All participants will be able to take home a small kit with ingredients and materials for making up to five batches of cheese.

To schedule your class e-mail: [email protected] to set up a Saturday or Sunday workshop
