Artist Bio:

Elizabeth Lang is the artist behind Between the Evergreens. Her paintings are inspired by a need for nature she believes we all possess. Elizabeth's love of nature and art began at a very young age. Family trips to her grandparent's North Georgia home made her fall in love with fresh mountain air and trickling creeks. Beach vacations made her love water and sand and rock. To really understand something, Elizabeth believes you need to explore it, and painting helps her to explore the nature she loves at a depth. There is always something new to see! Even in the most familiar places.

Elizabeth's paintings are inspired by what I feel when she is in a beautiful place. She creates abstract landscape paintings using watercolor, acrylic, and oil paints on canvas and paper. Her paintings are composed of abstract shapes and colors inspired by nature as she sees it. She believe nature brings health and wellbeing to our lives and is a necessary wildness in an often chaotic world. She began my business, Between the Evergreens, with inspiration from the John Muir quote, "Between every two pines is a doorway to a new world." This quote embodies the peace, spirituality, and clarity Elizabeth finds in nature and hopes to convey in her work.
