Artist Bio:

Gretchen Neal began her artistic career as a graphic designer where she worked in newspaper and magazine design and layout. During that time she won numerous awards in print media for her creative designs. In 1983, she left the field to begin teaching small group art classes to children and to pursue a career as a specialty painter, working with interior designers. Her extensive works include murals, faux finished walls and hand painted furniture. As an art instructor, Gretchen has had the opportunity to teach children in after school programs in the metro Atlanta area. In addition, she has provided art instruction in her home studio to elementary school age children for over 19 years. She has participated in the Visiting Artist program for Cobb county public schools since 1992 where she introduces the concept of 'highlight and shadow' in a fun, interactive 45- minute presentation based on her book, "Think Outside the Sphere". Gretchen has returned to Ormond Beach, Florida for the past 16 years to provide a summer art camp to the children of Ormond Beach. Most recently Gretchen has conceived and facilitated large scale, corporate art projects for CocaCola's local and global employees.
