Artist Bio:

Dana Enders is a Southeast Regional plein air painter. Dana is drawn to paint subjects that are bathed in beautiful, dramatic lighting. The effects of light play into the simplification of shapes as well as the unexpected color combinations that emerge from her acrylic paintings. Dana's paintings include landscapes and seascapes of Georgia and the Florida gulf coast. She is also well known for her custom pet portraits.

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Dana received her BFA degree with a focus in graphic design from Virginia Commonwealth University. She began her career as a professional graphic designer after moving to Atlanta in 1996 and has resided in Alpharetta for the past 20 years with her husband and two daughters. The combination of working as a graphic designer while being a wife and raising two girls has taken priority for most of that time. Painting has patiently sat on the back burner of life.

Over the past six years, Dana has made the conscious choice to make painting her priority. Dana is an
active member of the Roswell Fine Arts Alliance and has received numerous awards in their gallery shows and competitions. Her work can be found throughout the year in local shows and venues such as the Fickle Pickle and Uptown Cafe in Roswell, GA. Dana also enjoys participating in arts festivals and for the last several years has participated in the Wesleyan Artist Market in Norcross, GA, as well as the Piedmont Arts Festival in
Atlanta. Most recently, Dana has been selected as one of 40 Georgia artists that will participate in Georgia Color Plein Air, a 4-day event sponsored by Olmsted and taking place this October 31st - Nov. 3rd, 2019 in Monroe, Georgia.
