About the Piece

My photographs look at the ways humans occupy and alter the landscape and the resulting intersections of the built and natural worlds. The human presence in these pictures takes the form of structures, objects, or devices created for recreational, industrial, and decorative purposes. In many cases these things have lost their utility, giving them a forlorn and often lyrical quality.
