About the Piece

These two etched glass pieces were studies of a wall mural for a project at Northeastern University. The graphic artistry highlights the movement of time with a series of lines that are drawn from the UTC time zones in increments of five minutes over a 24-hour period. The first layer of the two elements celebrates the diversity of the student population at Northeastern, while the second layer of these panels features the fluid nature of time across the globe. These hand-etched elements are part of the process of developing not only the graphic language but also the craft and material of these mural installations.
