Image Description:
Llano is an epic journey along the paths of the Llaneros, a people who live and travel along the savannas of the Orinoco basin in Colombia and Venezuela. The story unfolds between winter and summer, which is also the physical and psychological setting where the most intimate stories elapse of men and women who continue dreaming of a land of wild horses and distances without fences.
This project collects paths traveled for 10 years of coexistence with the Llaneros of Casanare, Colombia.
"My way of taking on life was hard. My eyes are flooded with distances, those roads where thoughts flourish. To wander is a primitive migration where what is necessary to live fits in a backpack and what is truly indispensable is in the confidence and character of your own heart."
