Uganda Chimpanzee Island and Gorilla Trekking with Children of Conservation - 2 people (sharing a room)

Go ahead and cross this one off your bucket list! You'll have a once in a lifetime experience while travelling with a purpose. Your personal Children of Conservation guide will take care of all your needs from obtaining your visas to handling tips, meals and transport. This is not part of a large group tour - the group size will be 2 to 4 guests (up to two more people may be added to your trip for an additional rate). We'll have pre-trip calls or meetings to make sure all your needs are met.

You'll be met in Entebbe, Uganda where you'll get a behind the scenes tour of Ngamba Island and spend time with the local people learning about their culture. You'll spend the night on Chimpanzee Island with 49 chimpanzees and over 120 species of birds. After a night back in the mainland, we'll head to Bwindi where you'll hike through the Impenetrable Forest trekking the majestic mountain gorillas. Back at your luxury lodge, you'll take in the beautiful scenery and dine on the area's best cuisine before heading off the next day for your departure back home.

This trip is 5 nights in Uganda. Additional excursions including safari in northern Uganda and/or Chimpanzee trekking in central Uganda can be added for extra fees. While this trip is for 2 people sharing a room, an additional couple/room can be added at similar rate.

Includes all accommodations, guide, standard travel insurance, meals, standard alcohol and beverages, tips, transportation within Uganda, trekking permits, resort fees and tips.

Does not include transportation to and from Entebbe, premium alcohol or vaccinations/medications needed for travel (although we will advise you of what is recommended). Note: Persons 65 or older may be advised not to receive the yellow fever vaccination. If you are 65 or older, check with your doctor before bidding on this item as yellow fever vaccination is required for entry.

Current trips available: Arriving Entebbe, Uganda Sept. 22nd, 2019 (requires Sept. 21st departure from Atlanta); Leaving Uganda Sept. 27 (overnight flights). Additional trips currently planned for mid-January and June 2020.

Other dates may be booked at a mutually agreeable time but should be booked 3 months in advance. Subject to availability of accommodations and trekking permits.
