Bastianich Vini Orsone Friulano 2017

Medium-bodied, with delicious aromas and flavors of mature pear and peach with a fresh mineral backbone and good acidity. Friulano is famous for its light hint of almond on the long finish. Pair with Prosciutto di San Daniele and cured meats. Montasio and other fresh cheeses.

Very attractive and still really youthful with bright aromas of nectarines and sliced pears. Ripe and succulent with excellent balance for the hot vintage. Long and polished finish.

Bastianich Estates La Mozza Morellino di Scansano I Perazzi 2016

In the glass has a ruby-red, dark and intense dress. The nose is characterized by aromas of red fruit, including cherry, well mixed with spicy hints of licorice. The mouth is full, structured, with an important tannin. It closes with a long finish.

Juicy dark fruit mingles with spice and licorice on the palate. The bright, ripe cherry and soft texture make this a natural match with fresh Mediterranean flavors and dishes.
Excellent with first courses based on structured sauces, it is also ideal with red and white meat dishes. Try it in a more original version with a Bismarck pizza.

Bastianich Vespa Bianco 2015

The flagship wine of the Bastianich estate, Vespa Bianco was created to showcase the power and evolution that a great Friulian white can have. Consisting of equal parts Sauvignon and Chardonnay with a measure of Picolit, Vespa becomes more than a sum of its parts, a wine of uncommon complexity and longevity. Layers of fruit supported by a lovely vein of minerality which gives the wine notable continuity on the palate as well as a long, clean finish. Clearly has the stuffing to develop further complexity in bottle.
Here's another winning edition of this great wine. The 2015 Vespa Bianco has that familiar creamy texture and richness but a more evolved aromatic profile. What's special about this vintage is the dimension it now shows along with some very tonic fruit at the back. It is spicy and warm, with flashes of bright tangerine, and offers so much intensity and textural purity. This beautiful wine calls for a nice grilled ocean fish, such as orata or a black sea bass.
