Black South Sea Keshi Pearl with 18K White Gold Chain.
Size of Pearl 12 x 12 mm
Chain is 16 inches.
Keshi, (sometimes spelled 'Keishi') which means poppy seed in Japanese, is the name given to an irregularly shaped pearl consisting entirely of nacre. Keshi pearls are extremely rare and they are becoming increasingly sought after as we favor soft organic shapes and unique forms over symmetrical perfection.
Keshi pearls have no nucleus and they are made up of nacre so there is nothing to stop the reflection of light - making them shimmer and shine with iridescent luster which will remain unchanged throughout time.
Whether you prize their unique shapes, their radiant luster or their all-natural value, Keshi pearls are a necessary and beautiful part of any pearl lover's fine jewelry wardrobe.
