My art work is the one thing that relaxes me, it puts me in the place I am painting at the time. I don't know why or how it works, I just take it as comes. Most of the work I do is either somewhere I've been or something I have done in my lifetime, on something I would like to do. I guess what I am trying to say in my work is that if you really want to do something, just go for it. I always had a desire to draw and paint. Truth is I didn't have what that required, which a thing was called talent or ability, but at the age of sixty-four I said to my family, I really would like to draw and paint. There reply was: go for it. I did; and with the help of a friend (a great artist and person) Charlotte Clifton, I have been blessed to accomplish a lot of things. My paintings range from landscapes, trains to oilfield scenes. Even birds. Mostly acrylic medium. The satisfaction I get from my art is overwhelming, and inspires me to do more, my greatest satisfaction is seeing other people enjoy my work.
