Artist: Judy Horne

  • 31 x 39 inches
  • Framed Watercolor

Judy works in a variety of media as she explores various techniques of expression. She finds that the tools she picks up on any given day reflect her mood and spirit at the time.

As a visual artist, she is primarily a watercolorist and also enjoys working in pastel as well as painting on glassware. Within the realm of watercolor, her work also varies - one piece may be very realistic and exquisitely rendered; then she may cut loose with bold swatches of color in a more abstract, almost Fauvist, composition.

Judy frequently employs the pouring of luminous washes in her work. She finds that varying her technique, materials, and medium - depending on mood and subject matter - keeps her work fresh and exciting.
