Originally won at an ARI auction in 1991, Ayn Rand's copy of Carl Snyder's Capitalism the Creator was donated back to ARI and is now available again for the first time in more than 25 years.

Subtitled The Economic Foundations of Modern Industrial Society, this work is referenced in Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal, in the chapter "Common Fallacies About Capitalism."

The Macmillan Company, New York, 1941. Red boards without dust jacket; very good condition with 44 original charts. There is some slight foxing along the inside crease of the front end page, and a small moisture mark along the bottom page edges (not visible on inner leaves). Housed in a black custom clamshell case, with gold lettering to match the book's spine.

This work's title page contains an ancient Greek quotation that translates: "If you do not know that for money-making the best capital of all is trustworthiness, you do not know anything at all."

Payments from successful bidders will be tax-deductible contributions to ARI, to the extent of the excess dollar amount over ARI's good-faith estimate of the item's value. Please note: due to IRS regulations, ARI is not able to accept contributions from donor-advised funds or private foundations to satisfy winning auction bids.
