Renowned ceramic artist Tim Rowan is known for using unprocessed clay and firing his pieces in a wood-fired kiln.

The variety of colors and textures in this box derive from the natural make-up of the clay. Opening the box is like peeking into a crevasse in the earth to see its secret colors revealed only to you.

Rowan's works are seen internationally in solo and group exhibitions and in museum collections, including the Currier Art Museum in Manchester, NH, and the Fuller Craft Museum, in Brockton, MA.

Tim was awarded the prestigious Janet Mansfield Ceramic Award from the International Ceramic Magazine Editors Association in 2013 and the Ruth and Harold Chenven Foundation Grant, 2015.
