1976 Les Fort de Latour, Pauillac, Bordeaux (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot et Petit Verdot). High shoulder

From Vivino: "Deep. Beautiful maturity. Black brick colour. Medium viscosity. Enormous nose of lead pencil and cedar. Soft fruit. Liquorice. Very fine bouquet. Has both fruit and bottle age.

Finesse and elegance, Vigorous attack, then soft and full bodied. Lots of tannin in the final, but slight lack of acidity (this I have noticed in many 1976 Bordeaux). Very long aftertaste in which the cedar undulates in a lovely way." (Jan. 2015). Given how carefully cellared this bottle has been, it is likely that it still retains the character described in the tasting notes.
