Evening Behind the Scenes at the Minneapolis Institute of Art for up to 12 Guests
Many of Mia's treasures are too fragile to be in the galleries all the time. This private event opens the door to remarkable objects by some the greatest European and American artists of the last 500 years. Tom Rassieur, Head Curator of the Department of Prints and Drawings, welcomes your party to view highlights of the collection in the H. V. Jones Study Room. Wherever your interests lie-the Renaissance, Rembrandt, France, Fantasy, Expressionism, Contemporary-Tom will devise a pop-up exhibition. You could also ask him to pick some favorites and talk about them.
In his decade at the museum, Tom has added many masterpieces to the collection-works by the likes of Dürer, Titian, Rembrandt, Cassatt, Degas, Whistler, Picasso, and O'Keeffe. He was a central player in the blockbuster shows on Rembrandt and Luther, co-authored Master Drawings from the Minneapolis Institute of Art, and gave us gem-like exhibitions on subjects from miniatures to melancholy and flowers to fairytales. Most of all, he has a connoisseur's eye, a historian's knowledge, and a child's enthusiasm. Don't miss this unforgettable opportunity to let Tom unlock Mia's vault for you.
This unique experience for 8 to 12 guests includes drinks and hors d'oeuvres.
Un grand merci à Tom Rassieur et Chichi Steiner !
