This item is an exclusive opportunity for a group of 4 people to learn about beekeeping from veteran beekeepers James & Brenda White. James & Brenda have done beekeeping for over 12 years. James has been past president of the Southeast Minnesota Beekeeping Association (SEMBA). His unprocessed raw honey is sold under the label White Family- Bee Prepared Honey and is also sold to local and Twin Cities breweries. James & Brenda have spun out as much as a ton of honey in a given season and sells his product at the Saturday market at Firefly Berry Farm stall as well as at their U-Pick berry farm.

Winners of this event will spend time with James and Brenda where they will suit up and learn the rudimentary aspects of beekeeping where we will perform hive inspections, finding the queen, and check on the general health of the hives. You will also learn the process of making mead and taste mead made from the White Family bees. Finally you will enjoy a home cooked meal with a honey theme, and drink homemade honey wines. It's a sweet deal and you will go home with ample honey products.

This event is not publically available and will require a good weather day at a mutually agreeable time between June and Labor Day 2020.
