The live art created by Liz Lindstrom for events is as much a performance as it is a work of art. The creation of the work takes about four hours, from blank canvas to completed work. Lindstrom begins with capturing the room, the architecture, and size of the space being conveyed. Next the color and larger elements of the room are painted followed by the people that fill the room. Lindstrom knows her painting is complete when the canvas has all the wonderful movement, color, and light that the event contained. The end result is a work of art that gives a strong sense of what it was like to be a part of that special day, whether you were there or not.

Lindstrom is also a renowned portrait artist working in both charcoal/conte and oil, and is available exclusively through Portraits, Inc. Lexington associate Leslie Baldwin will be at the event to answer questions about Lindstrom and her work.

About the Artist

Liz Lindstrom is a Chattanooga native and has always been surrounded by beautiful art. Her father, Bart Lindstrom, is a nationally renowned portrait artist. After three semesters of apprenticeship under her dad and four months in England and abroad, Liz has found her niche in figurative art. "During my time in Europe, I photographed more beautiful towns, rivers and coastlines than could be appreciated. However, when I was back in the studio, the people I met along the way became the only subject that I was interested in pursuing. That's when I realized which direction I needed to take my art."
