*Please note Mr. Lee also added the rare inscription of "Excelsior!" next to his autograph. "Excelsior!" has long been Mr. Lee's catchphrase. In the mid-1960s, not long after Atlas Comics re-branded as Marvel, Lee wrote a monthly column for the comics publisher in which he'd sign off with "Excelsior!"-a Latin word meaning "ever upward."

Display: This item comes in it's own custom designed frame with triple matting including the "Spider-Man" logo text, the 2 spider webs coming out from the top of the 2 corners of the frame and the "Spider-Man" spider below the sketch and nameplate - all laser cut into the matting. Included are replica covers of "Amazing Fantasy #15" the first appearance of Spider-Man in a comic book and "Amazing Spider-Man #1" the first comic book devoted to Spider-Man. Also included is a custom engraved nameplate with edition number - museum quality.
