Joshua Emmanuel is a Toronto-based artist & designer. He is also the Founder & Design
Director of an upcoming contemporary men's label, IDLE HANDS. Prior to this, he was a
Senior Designer & Creative Director at Kollar Clothing.
The piece up for auction combines Joshua's past, present & future pursuits; the base of this
piece is a Leather Biker Jacket he designed during his time at Kollar Clothing, for their SS19
Collection (Size: Medium - fits true to size). This piece has been worn by the likes of Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors
& comedian/actor Chris D'elia.
The Leather Biker Jacket is crafted from a mid-weight leather & it features 2 zippered front
pockets, zippered cuff closures, a snap button coin pocket, snap button lapel and shoulder
epaulets, and a removable belted waist.
To combine this piece of Joshua's past with his current & future pursuits, he has hand-painted
his "Broken Free" graphic, used in the upcoming Part 1 release of IDLE HANDS, on the
back of the jacket. This graphic seeks to tell a story of finding personal freedom through creative
pursuits, while also challenging the viewer to look at the concept of "freedom in thought &
action" through a different lens.
This jacket also features a custom hand-made safety pin brooch on the left lapel of the jacket.
