The Patina Restaurant Group was built on the belief that culinary excellence is an art form. The founders-Chef Joachim Splichal and celebrated restaurateur and CIA Life Trustee Emeritus Nick Valenti-shared a common vision of a premium, world-class restaurant and food service company. Now you can stand side-by-side with a professional chef from this iconic company as the chef teaches you the tricks of the trade-Patina style! This once-in-a-lifetime experience includes a trio of personal and immersive classes, each for four people, focusing on the recipes and techniques of three different cuisine types.
You and your three friends or family members will learn:
- French Classics with Executive Chef Franck Deletrain from Brasserie 8½ in Midtown Manhattan
- Pizza and Pasta with Executive Chef Jarett Appell from Stella 34 Trattoria in Macy's Herald Square
- Modern Italian Desserts with CIA graduate Pastry Chef Richard Capizzi '00 from Lincoln Ristorante at Lincoln Center
Each of the three classes-in the host chef's restaurant-lasts three to four hours and includes wine pairings with each dish you prepare. Tax and gratuity are also included.
