Mohonk Mountain House is renowned for its beautifully handcrafted rustic summerhouses, railings and benches. This is your chance to own an authentic Mountain House creation designed and built by Senior Rustic Carpenter Cody Claussen especially for a lucky Mohonk Preserve supporter. Cody has taken the lead in rebuilding 23 summerhouses to date at the Mountain House and will be the lead carpenter for the construction of the new summerhouse in the Mohonk Preserve Foothills. He's incorporated his considerable experience into this unique Eastern Red Cedar bench. Left unfinished outside, the bench will naturally acquire a soft gray patina. Alternatively, it would be right at home indoors on a screened porch or in a cozy den. The bench is approximately 4.5 feet wide and 2 feet deep. This is an extra-special item created by someone who knows and loves both woodworking and recreating in the Gunks.
