Yoga? Mindfulness? Journaling? Walking? Many different coping techniques allow you to disconnect from stressors and reconnect to your center. Beloved Landon MS history teacher Francesca Panarelli will help campers learn different activities to help them relax, alleviate stress, and most importantly, calm their minds, bodies, and souls. Each day starts with yoga in the Perkins Garden, followed by a mindfulness technique for the day. This includes tasting different kinds of herbal tea, practicing mindful meditation, walking in nature, and daily journal entries to promote a sense of calm. We will also visit a local walking trail to experience the beauty and serenity of nature. Campers will receive a handout each day to summarize the technique they studied to promote more frequent practice and to allow them to share their new knowledge with family and friends.
Choose one of three one-week sessions, June 17-21, July 8-12, July 15-19, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Boys and girls, rising 4th through rising 7th graders.
