Backcountry Horse Packing Fishing Trip in the Elk Valley (4 days/3 nights) for 4 people.

Join the British Columbia Backcountry Hunters & Anglers and Sam Medcalf of Elk Valley Bighorn Outfitters for the FIFTH annual fully donated and fully outfitted horse pack, fishing trip into the beautiful Elk Lakes Provincial Park.

The trip will be guided by Bill Hanlon, Chair of BCBHA and North American Board member as well as BCBHA's co-chair Alan Duffy. The lucky bidders will travel by horseback into Elk Valley Bighorn's Westfork camp, where they will be immersed in wilderness and solitude for four days. Join us as we ride sturdy mountain horses to alpine lakes to fish for Westslope cutthroat trout, take in the scenery, and enjoy the fresh mountain air. This is truly one of the most beautiful valleys in the southern Rocky Mountains, complete with glacial clad peaks, alpine lakes, sprawling meadows, and vast forests. The area is located in the Elk Lakes Provincial Park, free of development, and allowing visitors to travel only by boot leather or horse sweat.

· Our base camp is located in the south east corner of British Columbia, only a four-hour drive from Kalispell Montana.

· The Westfork camp has a main cooking/dining cabin, as well as three detached guest cabins that sleep four people each.

· For those interested in riding horses, viewing wildlife, photography and hiking, we can explore beyond the lakes. Our horse trail network accesses many high basins, and mountain passes where guests can expect to see mountain goats, elk, grizzly bears, and bighorn sheep.

· The donation is a 4 day/ 3 night trip for up to four people. Extra guests can be added for a daily rate per individual.

· Due to busy summer schedules, the dates are fixed for July 5-8, 2019

· We supply and prepare all food, accommodations, saddle horses, pack horses and tack.

· Guests need to supply their own sleeping bag, clothing, day pack, fishing licenses, fishing gear, as well as any alcoholic beverages.

· Guests must arrive in Sparwood, BC for 9AM on the morning of the first day of the trip and can expect to be back in Sparwood around 4PM on the last day.

· Guests are responsible for all travel arrangements and costs up to arrival at Elk Valley Bighorn Outfitters Basecamp, and once again after departure.
