This ceramic vase is by the Los Angeles based ceramicist, Natan Moss. From his "Artificial Intelligence" collection, inspired equally by geometry and robots, this piece appears both nostalgic and futuristic at the same time.
Natan has been working in clay most of his life, learning from his uncle David Cuzick, a successful California studio potter. Natan's philosophy is to make simple, elegant pieces which explore the duality between art and functionality. This wall hanging by one of our favorite local artistic boutiques, MAST, is 6 feet tall and made of glass, wood, brass and ceramics. The Nomad necklace is made of vintage 1920s beads and vintage brass. These are high-quality works of art, suitable for any Tucson home.
In his series "Stop the Violence," Francois Robert painstakingly spends hours arranging 206 human bones into iconic shapes, each five or six feet wide, and photographing them with a 4x5 Hasselblad to provide a bird's eye view.
The resulting images are depicted in this 40-page, full color glossy book, signed by the artist. Standard Portrait, 8×10 in, 20×25 cm, published July 2011.
Based off of the Marcel Duchamp work '50cc of Paris air', the glass ampule contains 200cc of Tucson air and the breath of the perfumer as she blew the glass into form. The hot glass was infused with a cherished Tucson botanical 'Chaparral or Creosote' that created the aged look to the finish of the glass. This is a commissioned, single edition piece made in collaboration with the Sonoran Glass Studio. Lesli Wood commented, "It is unknown what the inside really smells like. Baseera Khan is a New York-based artist whose work shares experiences of exile and kinship shaped by economic, pop cultural, and political situations. She mixes consumerism with spirituality and treats decolonial histories, practices, and archives as geographies of the future. Khan has installed work at Aspen Museum of Art, Sculpture Center's In Practice: Another Echo exhibition (2018), Participant Inc's exhibition iamuslima (2017) that toured to Moudy Gallery at Texas Christian University (2017) and Fine Arts Center of Colorado College (2017-18). She performed at Whitney Museum of Art, Queens Museum, and ArtPop Montreal International Music Festival (2017). Khan is a current artist in residence at Pioneer Works (2018-19). She completed an artist in residence at Abrons Art Center (2016-17), International Travel Fellowship to Jerusalem/Ramallah through Apexart (2015), and Process Space artist in residence at Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (2015). Khan is an alumni of Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture (2014) and is a recipient of NYSCA/NYFA (2018). She is published in Artforum Magazine, Art in America, Bomb Magazine, The Brooklyn Rail, Unbag, and TDR: The Drama Review. She received an M.F.A. at Cornell University (2012) and B.F.A. from the University of North Texas (2005).
This work was featured in MOCA's fall exhibition "Blessed Be: Mysticism, Spirituality and the Occult in Contemporary Art".

Peter Shire is an LA-based artist whose work eludes all attempts at categorization. He has created ceramics, furniture, toys, interior designs, and public sculptures that seem to at once reference and parody influences such as Bauhaus, Futurism, Art Nouveau, and Art Deco. This subversive humor and playfulness extend throughout his work and made him a natural fit for the controversial and iconic Milan-based Memphis Design group, of which he was a founding member. A graduate of the famous Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles, Peter Shire has an impressive exhibition record, including solo exhibitions at MOCA Pacific Design Center, The Jewish Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, A+D Museum, and the Santa Monica Museum of Art to name just a few. His work can be found in public collections and museums across the world.

Although ice has the power to carve through mountains creating prairies and lakes, its strength now diminishes each day as the ice drips away, un-replenished. Near the top of the earth in Greenland and further south in the Antarctic, Morgan photographed this massive elegant, fragile beauty. These photographs continue the degradation of the already distorted images with the addition of hand applied oil medium, dry carbon pigment, and particles of coal.
Tucson-based artist Patricia Carr Morgan's artworks have incorporated photography, mixed media installation, and sculpture and have utilized her toolbox of artistic materials, which include film and digitally captured images, asphalt, neon and coal. She currently has a solo exhibition at the Tucson Museum of Art and her work has previously been shown at the Tampa Museum of Art and the University of Arizona.

In 1969 he created the first portable typewriter, The Valentine typewriter, which was one of the most significant moments in the history of design. In 1980 Sottsass founded the Memphis Group of design, forever changing the way we think of "retro," and inspiring pop artists such as David Bowie and Katie Perry. His architectural achievements can be seen around the globe, from Tokyo to Zurich.
This print by Ettore Sottsass is a sketch of a piece featured in one of his ceramic shows in Paris, "Reperti del Futuro." Its black and grey palette with a pop of bright pink is bound to be a show-stopper in any setting.

Olivier Mosset (b. 1944) is a Swiss artist who now works and lives in Tucson. Mosset was a part of the collective BMPT with Daniel Buren, Michel Parmentier, and Niele Toroni. Based out of Paris in the mid-1960s, BMPT represented France's minimalist movement. The 200 or more identical oil paintings that Mosset produced between 1966 and 1974, of a small black circle at the center of a square white canvas, are seen as the acme of BMPT's experimental approaches to painting, which sought to challenge established methods of art-making and theorize a new social and political function for art and artists. Associated with conceptual abstraction, Mosset's works represent pure color and shape, inciting open-ended physical experiences of surface, scale, and pattern.
Mosset's work can be found in the collections of Centre Pompidou, MoMA, Musee de Beaux Arts Switzerland, Migros Museum in Zurich, and the National Gallery of Canada.

Louise Fishman's work celebrates process through energetic surfaces of densely layered color and texture. Born in Philadelphia in 1939, Fishman was active in the feminist movement of the late 1960s, and her gestural abstraction unapologetically confronts the male-dominated history of artistic discourse. Widely shown, her work is represented in many collections, including: the Metropolitan Museum of Art; the High Museum of Art; the National Museum of Women in the Arts; and the Jewish Museum. She's received three National Endowment for the Arts grants and a Guggenheim Fellowship. She has had recent solo exhibitions at the Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth
College, and the Ringling Museum of Art, and her first retrospective was seen in 2016 at the Neuberger Museum of Art.

Ms. Lanese's work is recognized for its punchy color palette and layered patterns. The Village Voice described her collages as "enigmatic narratives heightened by keen color clashes and jazzy textures" when covering her exhibition at Jack the Pelican Presents in Brooklyn in 2007. She works primarily in painting, installation, and collage. Ms. Lanese has exhibited at the Akron Art Museum, the Scope International Art Fair in Basel, Switzerland, and in East Hampton, New York, the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln, MA and at SPACE Gallery in Portland, ME. She has installed permanent public artworks in Cincinnati, Toledo, and in Cleveland, OH.
