Color silkscreen, 10" x 14", edition of 18, Titled and signed in pencil. Robert Goe was a Los Angeles cartoonist known for his contributions to "Romp," and other magazines in the mid 1950's. That he was also a skilled colorist and draftsman is evident in this well-composed silkscreen of a "Tiger Drinking." There was an early interest in the United States in treating color silkscreen as a legitimate fine art medium, which until the early 1940s had been considered a purely commercial medium.
