Missouri Botanical Garden/Shaw Nature Reserve/The Butterfly House

Four (4) admission passes to your choice of the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis, MO, Shaw National Reserve in Gray Summit, MO, or the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House in Chesterfield, MO. The Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis was founded in 1859 by Henry Shaw. Today, 158 years after opening, the Garden is a National Historic Landmark and a center for science, conservation, education and horticultural display - widely considered one of the top three botanical gardens in the world. Shaw Nature Reserve, on the Meramec River and about six miles south of the Missouri River, is in the region known as the Ozark Border. This region encompasses some 13 percent of the state of Missouri and divides the rolling prairie lands of northern Missouri, that were formed by glaciers, from the Ozark Plateau, that was formed by uplift and erosion. The many trails within the reserve offer easy strolls and hikes that bring visitors in close contact with these habitats. One can explore for an hour or a day-as the variety of trails offer many choices. The Butterfly House offers education programs, special events, lectures and, of course, the chance to witness butterflies in two habitats, one native and one tropical.
