"Blue Dissonance" by Kathy Duffin
watercolor/mixed media
24" x 24" Framed
Kathy Duffin is an award-winning fine artist specializing in contemporary watercolor and mixed media painting. Her work has been exhibited, installed, and collected throughout the region, including at St. Louis Artists Guild, Blue Man Group's Briar Street Theater in Chicago, Powell Symphony Hall, Art Saint Louis, Quincy University, and other galleries and institutions in Illinois and Missouri.
In addition to painting on paper and canvas, Kathy also creates large-scale artwork on walls and pavement. An alum of the "St. Louis Mural U" workshops led by Robert Fishbone, she collaborates and contributes to the local mural collective. Her chalk art, though fleeting, has been found at festivals, street parties, and secluded sidewalks. A long-time graphic artist, Kathy also creates concert posters, web content, and other fun digital elements.
Kathy works in fundraising for local nonprofits, and is a candidate for a Masters in Nonprofit Management from Washington University in December 2019. Her home and studio are in St. Louis.
