The TRUE 'Tail' of One Sneaky Little Pup.

By: Guinness

So.... Shortly after my mom, Shelley, left home the other day, I realized that she had left some of the chocolate goodies she had purchased for the "Death By Chocolate" gift basket (side note... you should really go bid on it after you bid on this item!) sitting out where I could reach them....

"Don't do it," I thought. "Be strong. Control yourself." But after a solid 30 seconds (as soon as I heard her car door slam shut) the little devil cat on my shoulder began prodding me harder and harder to give in to my urges. "Just check the bag out," he said. "There's no harm in a little sniff!"

I admit it. I'm weak. I gave in and decided to take a sniff. As soon as I stuck my nose in that bag, I knew I was in trouble. I mean, it was filled with delicious chocolate goodies! Who can resist that?!?!

I sniffed around a little more and pulled a candy bar out for myself... There were 7 of them! Mom wouldn't even know one was gone....or at least that's what I thought. How was I supposed to know that they were days of the week chocolate bars and she would figure out one was missing pretty quickly?!?!? It's not like I can read!!!!

So I enjoyed the delightfully delicious candy bar on the living room sofa and then decided it was time for a nap!

When my mom got home, she grabbed the bag and acted quite pleased that I had not eaten anything out of it.... "Whew," I thought, "she didn't notice one is gone!" I felt a wave of relief come across me that was so powerful I decided I should take another nap.

A little bit later my mom saw tiny shreds of the gold aluminum wrapper under the edge of the sofa (I knew I should have just eaten those too!).... she immediately went and grabbed the bag and looked in it. She very quickly figured out what I had done. She fussed at me and I felt so guilty that I had to make it up to her.... so I donated this basket with my favorite dog treats in it as well as some apology treats for humans too... please help me get out of the dog house and back on her good side by bidding on it!!!! I mean, it is probably the only auction item you have ever seen that was donated by a dog and it's filled with some fun goodies too! I even put the other 6 candy bars in it... (I mean, who needs chocolate on a Friday anyway?).

Basket Includes:

  • Guinness Stout Beer
  • Shadow Springs Vineyards Dark Shadows wine
  • 6 out of 7 days of the week chocolate bars
  • 1 stainless steel wine tumbler
  • 1 titanium copper wine tumbler
  • Dog Cookies with carob flavor chips

Retail Value - $65
